XIAO Logger HAT - Temperature, Humidity, Light and Time in One Tiny Add-On
Building a data logger usually means sourcing multiple breakout boards, writing drivers for each sensor, and figuring out how to keep everything accurate over time. The XIAO Logger HAT collapses all of that into a single, XIAO-sized add-on board that's ready to log from the moment it's connected.
This compact HAT integrates four key components onto one board: a Sensirion SHT40 for accurate temperature and humidity sensing, a BH1750 ambient light sensor, a PCF8563 real-time clock (RTC) for accurate timestamping without a network connection, and an enableable voltage divider for monitoring battery voltage. This is essential for unattended, battery-powered deployments.
All four components communicate over I2C, keeping your XIAO's GPIO usage minimal. The power supply enable pin lets you cut power to the sensors entirely when not sampling, extending battery life significantly in low-duty-cycle logging applications. At just 21 x 17.8 mm, it stacks neatly onto any XIAO board without adding bulk.
This product is a co-creation between Seeed Studio and Westlake University's Marcel, a genuine collaboration between industry and academic research.
