The RS485 Breakout Board for Seeed Studio XIAO gives your XIAO board access to the industrial-grade RS-485 communication standard, built for long distance, high noise immunity, and multi-node networks.
Equipped with the TP8485E transceiver IC, this breakout board converts your XIAO's UART serial output to RS-485 differential signals automatically. Operating as a half-duplex transceiver, it handles the direction switching internally, so your code just writes to UART and the board does the rest. It supports data transmission up to 1200 metres at baud rates up to 250,000 bps.
Power is taken from a single 5V or 12V DC source, and the RS-485 output is accessed via clean 3-pin screw terminals for both signal wires and power — making wiring into existing RS-485 networks straightforward. Compatible with all Seeed Studio XIAO boards.
