This is a 5-meter roll of APA102c RGB Addressable LEDs. The role contains 60 LEDs per meter. Each LED includes an integrated controller chip, allowing you to daisy-chain them and operate them separately! Data and Clock are the two control wires on these strips.
This means that each strip requires two pins to control. The Clock line enables this strip to be controlled by a wide range of devices (including the Raspberry Pi!) without the requirement for machine timing. 

This strip's LEDs have an extremely high refresh and PWM rate. The pixels can receive data at up to 32MHz, and the high PWM rate makes these ideal for POV applications. These LEDs have a PWM rate of 20Khz, compared to 400Hz for WS2812s!

The strip is weatherproofed (IP68) and terminated at either end with a 4-pin socket. Two additional power connections are also terminated, if high current is needed.
