We have been using it for a long time at the K & A Electronics workshop and it is hands down amazing and reliable. What makes it so good? Firstly, the silicone tip makes sucking up liquid solder a breeze, and the aluminium body is sturdy and comfortable to use.
To use it, depress the end to engage the vacuum. Then using your soldering iron, heat up the to-be-desoldered joint until the solder is liquid. With your other hand hold the silicone tip as close as possible to the joint and depress the button to suck up all the liquid solder. If necessary, clean up the remaining solder with wick. You will be amazed at how good this is.
